- Good with dogs, cats, and kids
- Special needs: Blind, needs daily eyedrops. Prefer home with no stairs.
- Special skill: Cuddling
- Adoption fee: $300
Hi, I’m Tessa! I was dumped in a city shelter after being used for breeding over and over again, but I am the happiest pug in the world now that I am healthy and free! I’m about 7 years old, but I have the energy level of a puppy! I love to go on walks, and play with toys and other dogs. My favorite activity is cuddling. Even though I am mostly blind, I will follow my humans around the house like I have 20/20 vision until I can find a good spot on a lap. Everyone tells me that my fur feels like velvet and they love petting me. I am blind, but I don’t have the tendencies of a blind dog. I love children and don’t mind if you walk right up and hug me, it doesn’t scare me because I can hear and smell you coming. I don’t get scared by loud noises either. Once I get used to my surroundings, I have no issues running around and jumping on the furniture. I love sleeping in the middle of the bed at night and I don’t snore loud. I love other animals including dogs and cats. I am good in car rides and housebroken. My foster mommy can safely leave me alone at home because there are no stairs for me to fall down. However, I don’t like to be home alone. I will cry softly when you leave me alone by myself but I do well if there are other dogs home with me. I need eye drops on a daily basis, but I don’t mind them. I just sit there while my human puts them in and wag my tail. I have so much love to give, please give me a chance!

- Chaz – Male, 9 years old
- Good with dogs and cats
- Bonded Pair
- Adoption fee: $200 for the pair
Piper is a sweet, lovable girl, loves to sit on a lap, go for walks, plays well with the other dogs and she plays with the cat. She is 7 years old. She is housebroken, uses the dog door, and is crate trained but she sleeps with us.
Chaz is a little guy around 14 lbs who loves attention, he is bonded to his big “sister” Piper. He is 8 years old and follows her everywhere and they walk side by side when we take them out for their walk. He is not overly affectionate, just content to sit on a lap to be petted. He is housebroken, uses the dog door and is crate trained but sleeps with us. He gets along well with our other dogs and the cats.
Midge
- Female, 10 years old
- Adoption Fee: $100
Hi – I’m Midge! After a stint at the Adam Co Humane Society, I came to Co Pug Rescue for the chance to find a good home with my kinda people. I am an older girl – but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a gentle game of tug o war with a soft toy 🙂 I LOVE to be with people, especially “my” person, and I don’t like being left alone – but I’m not destructive about it, just sad and I vocalized that sadness for a bit before settling down and waiting for your return. I am housebroken and will let you know when I want to go outside, but being older, sometimes I can’t help myself and I leave little puddles around the house – not all the time, just sometimes. I am ok with other dogs and kitties, but my foster mom’s cats Do Not Respect my space and I have to tell them to leave me alone! My foster mom trusts me and knows I won’t hurt them or even chase them for fun. They can even sleep next to me – just stay out of my face. Same for other little dogs – I get a bit jealous and won’t back down if they don’t back down, all I need is a good firm “No” and separate us if I forget my manners. Give me a chance and I will love you for the rest of my life!

At times, she can be incontinent. Despite the nerve damage, she can get around fine and can climb stairs. Nici has been crated trained and enjoys sleeping on the couch and bed. Her previous owners may have been a little rough with her as it’s obvious she has been yelled at a and chased. Coco
- Female, 7 years old
- Good with dogs and kids
- Special needs: has 3 legs.
- Adoption fee: $300
Remember Stop Drop and Roll? Well, that is me to a tee. My name is Coco and I will stop, drop and roll for a belly rub ANY TIME! I am 7 year old female and I am used to being in a loving home. My owner had to give me up because she was having some health issues. The first thing you will notice when you meet me, is that I only have 3 legs. That makes it a little difficult for me to get on and off of furniture, up and down stairs, etc…..but it does not slow me down. I use my tail to balance me out and I do just fine. I am totally housetrained and don’t bark very much. I love to go for walks in my stroller. I am a little shy at first, but keep those belly rubs coming and I will warm up to you! I need drops in my eyes due to dry eye, but outside of that, I am healthy! If you think that you could be my next loving forever home, please put Coco on your application.
Addie
- Female, 7 years old
- Special Needs: blind and diabetic
- Adoption fee: $300
Hi! I’m Addison! You can call me Addie, or Addikens – I respond very well to voices as I am blind. But don’t feel to bad for me because I’m blind – it’s not so bad, I get around fine, even stairs once I know where they are and where I am going. I LOVE to be held and snuggle and will sit in your lap or by you for as long as I can – I really need to be with people. My foster mom says I need to stay in a crate in the car or when I am by myself for my safety – must be that blind thing again. I do protest a little at first but I know she is right and it’s ok. I am diabetic but that is not a problem for me – it means I get to eat twice a day so I can have my insulin – I don’t even know it’s being given to me! I like other pugs and cats, but sometimes other dogs don’t like me very much – I think they are jealous because they know I am special. My foster mom really monitors my interaction with others to keep them..er..me out of trouble. I love to lick….I lick a lot….and sometimes that gets me excited and I start humping – I just can’t help myself so I need help being told no when I get wound up. I want to be your furever pug please put Addie on your application!

Kya
- Female, 9 years old

- Housebroken
- Adoption fee: $100
Need a lap dog?? If your answer is yes, then I’m the lady for you! My name is Kya, and I am 9 year old, fawn, spayed female pug for adoption. As you can see, I love to be close to people and will follow you like a shadow. If you allow me to do so, my favorite activity is to snuggle up with you. I like all kinds of people, even the little ones. I also enjoy the company of other dogs. I have a calmer disposition, but enjoy walks and romps at the dog park. I am house trained, crate trained, and not destructive if left alone. Although I have a cataract in one eye, I can see fine with my other eye. Otherwise, I have a clean bill of health, recently having a check-up, vaccinations, and a dental. My foster family thinks I am a wonderful dog and will make an awesome companion for a family that can look beyond my age. I am just seeking for a forever home to love and be loved for years to come. If you think you may be the new family for me, please don’t hesitate to put my name on the adoption application!

Harmony
- Female, 5-6 years old
- 18 lbs.
- Current on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped
- Housebroken
- Special Needs: Requires Urinary specific food to prevent bladder stones
- Adoption fee: $300
Hi everyone, my name is Harmony. I came into the rescue when my owners couldn’t afford surgery to remove bladder stones. I had 3 large stones removed and I feel soooo much better! I’m doing great post-op but have to eat a prescription food for the rest of my life to keep the stones from coming back…that means treats too. But I like the food and my foster family saves some kibbles from my daily meals to give as treats. Most of the time I’m like any other pug and sleep a lot, but mid afternoon I can get down right lively. I like to play with toys and my foster family has found that a rawhide chew helps to get me through the fidgets. My vet even went so far as to call me a D.Q., which I found out means drama queen! I get along with other dogs but don’t know any cats. I really enjoy my morning and evening walks and if the cows are nearby I like to bark at them. They don’t seem to mind and sometimes they come over to see what all the noise is about. About barking … when left alone, I bark. When it thunders, I bark. Sometimes I bark at birds. I’m not an incessant barker, just making a few comments. My foster family isn’t sure how long I bark when left alone – now that I’m healed from my surgery, they are going to try some experiments. I have never been crate trained and insist on sleeping on the bed with you. I also like a lap whenever possible. As you can see from my photos, I’m super cute. Hmm, I’m starting to understand that D.Q. title!
