Carlos Santana

  • 4 year old non-pug — Chihuahua & Fox Terrier mix
  • Really likes pugs
  • Cuddly and sweet
  • A bit of an escape artist. Has been known to be grumpy with big dogs
  • Adoption fee: $350

Carlos Santana came to Colorado Pug Rescue with his best pug friend after their owner passed away. Shortly after they arrived his pug friend got very sick and passed away. Shortly after his friend passed away, Carlos tangled with a much bigger dog and got very hurt.

This little guitarist has had a rough few months, but he is with CPR because he loved a pug (like most of us). He gets along great with his foster pug brothers and likes to be around his human as much as possible. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is well behaved when he is left loose in the house when no one is home. He only weighs 9 lbs, but don’t tell him that. He thinks he is big and bad.

Carlos has been known to get out of the yard (he can slip through a gap in the fence). He even spent a few hours with animal control after one adventure. Like most dogs in rescue, he is just looking for love and stability. Please consider adopting Carlos and letting him be you and your pug’s best friend.
