Addy and Bernie are an adorable bonded pair who have been together seven years. They are looking for their forever home in which to enjoy walks, playing, lying in the sun, and cuddling on the couch. This sweet pair would prefer older children and a home with either a calm smaller dog or no other dogs in the home. They are okay with cats. They are both crate trained and share the same kennel when needed. They always sleep together at night in a kennel in the foster mom’s bedroom.

Addy is a 14 pound fawn pug mix (possibly with Chihuahua) with a cute personality. She loves to cuddle, but it has to be her choice. She knows simple commands such as come, uh-uh, out, kennel, and eat. She doesn’t like to be picked up but prefers to follow the command “come” and be greeted at her level. Addy loves to wrestle and play with Bernie and follow the foster family’s cat around the house.

Bernie is a 20 pound furry black pug with a calm/chill personality. He’s the most loving cuddle bug. Loves belly rubs and having his fur brushed. He enjoys wrestling with Addy and is always by her side. Bernie knows the same simple commands as Addy.

Bernie and Addy have made good gains in many areas, especially their social skills. They are very comfortable around all kinds of adults and children that visit the foster home. If their foster mom is not home but another family member is visiting, they will cuddle with the visitor on the couch.

Previous marking concerns seem to be resolved. Their foster mom leaves them alone in the kitchen with their kennel open when she is gone, with the entrance to the kitchen blocked. When she is home, they are loose in the house with her. She does monitor them for any signs of marking and takes them out regularly. Sometimes they even sit at the back door to let her know they want/need to go out. They love to lie in the sun by the back kitchen door and have had no accidents.
