Hi! I am Brody, a 4 year old Chug….That means I am part Chihuahua, and part Pug. I am a very smart boy that came from a very cold place, so I hope you like a dog that cuddles. I am crate trained, and really like it, especially when I hear loud sounds. I love car rides, and walks a whole bunch, and I can be full of energy too! I have only been in my foster home for a short while, but I am learning how to use a doggie door, and I am  learning what it is like to be around other dogs. I hope you will like me enough to put my name on the adoption form!

  • Puggle
  • Good with dogs and cats
  •  Housebroken
  • Special Needs: Severe food allergies, will need medication and/or strict diet the rest of her life
  • Adoption fee: $300
Ramona is a curious and wicked smart 3 year old puggle. She has excellent scavenger talents, so she’ll need a family who will spend lots of time with her and keep her out of trouble. She can be naughty now and then. She also thrives in a pack with a strong human leader. She is housebroken and will ask to go outside. Ramona was relinquished because she had severe food allergies. This is a struggle she will have the rest of her life. CPR is currently managing the allergies with a very strict diet, mix of raw food and prescription allergy food as well as medication. Ideally, she’d find a home willing to continue investigating her allergies and find a way to manage it with diet alone. Ramona is crate trained, but enjoys a good bedtime snuggle. She gets along great with her foster brothers and foster cats.

Caesar is a highly active 8 year old puggle (pug beagle mix). He came from a loving and caring home. He is housebroken, loves to play, and is very friendly. He will chew up anything with a squeaky or stuffing in it so be sure to watch him at all times. He is kennel trained in case you need to leave him by himself. He has a great sense of smell (coming from the beagle side of him) and can find anything. He is good with other dogs and older children. At night he sleeps in his own doggy bed right next to his owners bed. He is a very good and sweet dog with no health issues.

Spud is amazing with kids! He lives with two 4 year old girls. They love to cuddle and play with him and he shows no signs of aggression. He plays right back with them or lets them scratch his belly and allows them to give him kisses. He loves his foster fur-sister dog, she is an 8 year old Boston Terrier. At first they ignored each other, but now when they come inside he tries to nibble at her ear to try and get her to play with him. He has had no issues playing outside with toys or running. He might bark once in a while, more due to the fact that his yard is backed up to a trail and there are a lot of other dogs and people running right behind. He gets very curious and likes to let everyone when someone is at or near our home. When the front door rings he might give a couple barks and run to the door area, but then when we open the door he just wants to give kisses. He seems to be a very good watch dog, he likes to sleep at the hallway between my door and my kids doors, like he need to protects us while we sleep at night or something.
He eats regular dry dog food, and he loves treats. He was a little chunk when we got him, so he really loves his food and treats. He stays off the furniture and he knows that when he comes in from outside he needs to settle down. He loves to sit at your feet and cuddle. He does well with baths and water. He is kennel trained as well, but we don’t keep him in a kennel, he has his own bed in our front room and he has had no potty issues since we got him.
He would be a perfect family dog, with other kids, people and other dogs. Or he would be a perfect companion for someone that wants someone to hang out with all day. He is not very rowdy, so even maybe someone older.

Murphy is a very pleasant canine buddy.  He is very gentle.  He knows simply commands like sit, shake, stay,  and down.  He loves belly rubs.  He loves carrots and green beans for snacks.  He loves to play ball or fetching when you throw it. He needs to be supervised with toys as he’ll eat them when you aren’t watching.  Murphy is kennel trained and housebroken. He will give you a signal, pawing you or scratching at the door when he needs to go out. He has a sensitive stomach and is on a special diet.
He has this game he will play when he is excited and playful…..you say Zoom, Zoom Murphy and he will race around the living area in circles.  He is a super delight to have to our family.

Tucker adjusting very well after losing his eye.  He is a wild man that loves kids and cuddling if you can slow him down.  He loves playing with his toys, is doing very well in his crate training and is for the most part housebroken.  He has learned to sit and “drop it” very well with verbal commands.  He is not particular about male or female adults to bond with, he is happy with everyone. He has been happy when he sees other dogs and has met a cat or two.

  • Pug mix -possibly Pug/Chihuahua mix

Hi, I’m Perla, my foster mom calls me Pixie Lou because she says I’m to cute too be a Perla.

I was turned in as a stray in to the Arizona Humane Society in Payson AZ in June.  My brother and I were brought to Colorado Pug Rescue because they thought we would have a better chance of finding a forever home. I arrived in  Colorado one sick little girl, some sort of infection, my doctor and foster parents nursed me back to health and you would never know  I was sick a day in my life!

I’m a smartie, I usually know to come when called and to sit, perfection is still in the works. My foster mom says that I’m losing my baby teeth so I bite and chew, it makes my gums feel better. Once I get these baby’s out I’ll stop all that and be great ‘cuz I’m a lover and cuddlier. Every night foster mom and I lay on the couch she reads some silly book and I cuddle up with her, that’s my favorite thing. I sleep and travel in my crate, I get nervous in the car but foster mom says I’m MUCH better then I use to be, she says sometimes puppies are like that.

I love my foster brother and other dogs. Once we meet and greet, its game on. I’m good with cats but prefer dogs.  I’m housetrained.

I could be your shadow and don’t like to be alone, I’d love a brother or sister. I love sunbathing and enjoy being both inside and out but mostly I love being with you. Everyone who meets me loves me, come meet me.

Hi! I am Ricky, the Chug formerly known as Yodel. I have long legs, a curly tail and floppy ears. I love people and kids. I am good with dogs and will even play with a friendly cat. I am a puppy so I am learning lots of things. I am almost housetrained and know basic commands. As I am still a puppy, I have a bit of naughty in me…I take great joy in shredding tissues and papers. I have also mastered the art of climbing a baby gate. I am eager to find that special home that will take me on walks, teach me knew things, and be patient as I learn how to be a good boy. I can’t wait to meet my new forever family!

All the best, Ricky

  • Female pug/Boston terrier, age eight years
  • Good with older kids
  • Good with other dogs

Hello! My name is Rugby. I am an eight-year-old female BUG – pug/Boston terrier mix. I get along well with other fur babies (dogs, anyway). I would be happy in a home with older children. I am full of energy and love to go for walks. I love stuffed toys and tennis balls. I’ll need a home with a high fence, as I can clear most fences; I am very agile for my age! I am a hearty eater and gobble up my breakfast and dinner. Of course, I always leave room for treats, and they are most welcome. I get really scared of thunder and lightning storms and am not fond of “having my nails done.” I have the occasional mess in the house but try to be a good girl most of the time. My other hobbies include chasing bunnies and cuddling. I hope to win your heart!

Love, Rugby

  • Good with kids over 13
  • Good with other dogs and cats

Hi! My name is Charlotte. I am a pug/Chihuahua mix. My owners took me to a shelter because they were moving.

I am very sweet and will follow my person around like a shadow. I give kisses and love to be in your lap. New people have to go slow with me, but I do warm up, and I bond really fast. I need an owner with a firm but fair hand. See, I can become very protective of my human and sometimes have an attitude with some of the other dogs in my foster mom’s house. I think cats are okay, but if they run from me, then the chase is on. A home without cats would be best. I’m also really not found of big dogs.

If you have room in your life for a sweet loyal companion, please apply for me.

Wendy

  • Female pug/terrier mix, age three years
  • 17 lb.
  • Good with kids
  • Good with other dogs
  • Special needs – blind in right eye
  • Adoption Fee: $300

Wendy is a pug/terrier mix who is approximately three years old. She came to Colorado Pug Rescue from a shelter in Missouri. She is in very good health with the exception of her right eye. That eye shows evidence of a past injury but doesn’t seem to bother Wendy. However, she doesn’t have vision out of that eye.

Wendy is super sweet and has a lot of energy. She loves sunbathing, going for walks and playing with her foster sister. She will need a little patience and training on a leash, as she will pull. Wendy gets along with other dogs but will chase cats, birds or rabbits. She has a very calm demeanor and does well with children. She is housetrained but has had just a few accidents, which I chalk up to not getting her outside right before bedtime.

Wendy does the cutest little dance when it is time to eat, and she likes chew toys. The terrier in her has been known to try to bury toys in the yard and even dig a little. Wendy will need a back yard with a good fence. When she first came to the rescue, she acted very timid and a little scared of quick movements and noises, but no longer. Now she is calm, sweet, loving and likes her belly rubs. Please consider giving this precious little girl a forever home.
