  • Eight years old
  • Good with children
  • Good with dogs
  • Might require a special diet or prescription food for urinary issues
  • Adoption fee – $300

Emma is an eight year old female. She is good with dogs and children. Emma’s behavior toward cats is unknown. Her original owner passed away, and Emma has suffered from some separation anxiety since then. The person who took her in travels a lot and felt Emma should have a chance at a forever home where someone would be at home more. Emma loves toys and her round pillow that she drags around the house. She had a mast cell tumor removed sometime in the past but has had no further problems of that sort. She also has a history of urinary problems which might require a special diet for the rest of her life. Emma is very sweet and loves to be on your lap, go for walks, etc. If you’re wanting a sweet mature lady, Emma could be the pug for you.

Cee Cee and Mandy

December 28, 2018 @ 4:44 pm posted by BertaL
  • Bonded pair; MUST stay together
  • Cee Cee – two years old
  • Mandy – nine years old
  • Housetrained
  • Crate trained
  • Adoption fee – $450

Cee Cee and Mandy are two of the most precious little purebred pug girls anyone could ask for. Their loving owner recently passed, and she had enough love for them that she had some dear friends place them in rescue prior to her passing. She only wanted the best for her girls, and she loved them enough to let them go.

Cee Cee is a two year old girl who is initially shy with new people but warms up quickly with some love, patience, and some yummy treats :). She is very playful and is the bounding little ball of energy that every young pug should be. She is great with other dogs and loooves to play with them! She is good with cats, although she will chase if they run. She just stops and sniffs them when she gets to them, though, and sits and waits as if she wants them to run again :). She is house trained as long as she is taken out every few hours. She loves to cuddle and is super willing to please those that love her.

At nine years old, Mandy is just the epitome of an older pug girl, with a slightly slower gait and that notorious pug tongue that hangs out to the side (don’t let this fool you though, she eats, drinks, and chews on bones just fine!). She is just an absolute sweetheart who has never met a stranger and is desperate to show love to her family. She is house trained, as well, with outside breaks every few hours. Mandy loves to chase the kitties, too, but it is purely in play. She always stops and sniffs the cats and will occasionally give them a little half lick with her abundance of tongue :).

Both of these girls rely on each other for support and reassurance, so it is essential that they are adopted together and stay together. They sleep in the same bed together (although they would love to sleep with their human friends in their bed), eat together, and follow each other around all day. They can be crated, but after the initial acclimation, they should be fine to be left out. They are pretty quiet for the most part but definitely take note if they hear a doorbell. They love to go for car rides and do a fabulous job of just sitting back and enjoying the ride. They REALLY love getting their Puppucino’s from Starbucks!

If you are looking for the perfect pug pair that don’t have any of the those nasty puppy habits and are ready to call a loving family their own, then these may be the ladies for you!!

Lady

March 14, 2015 @ 4:17 pm posted by AbbyS
  • Female, 7 years old
  • Pug Mix – 1/2 Pug, 1/4 Chihuahua, 1/4 Shetland sheep dog
  • Energetic and smart!
  • Has ninja skills, so needs a home with a very secure fence.
  • Adoption fee: $300
Meet Lady! She is healthy, smart, agile & energetic.  She barks or gets very excited when you come home, if there’s a knock at the door, if she spots another animal, or if she sees her walking harness/leash.  She should always be kept on a leash when out as she will tear after a bigger dog barking.  Shes all bark, no bite.  She gets anxious in crowds, & around new people, but otherwise she’s pretty quiet.  She likes to follow you around the house, but if you’re just hanging out, she’ll generally lay with you or in the sun.  When her foster mommy works (she works from home) she lays on the bed & couch, or at her feet, sometimes in her lap  She likes to hide under covers, she is a great snuggler, loves to have her belly rubbed! She’s super smart!!  We had a wisdom DNA panel done on her. She’s half Pug, & 1/4 each Chihuahua & Shetland sheep dog. She’d be very happy in a house or apartment, but she is a ninja & can get through small fence cracks so I recommend supervising her. She can be indoors for 8-10 hours without needing to be let out. She doesn’t love other animals, but would probably learn to get along ok with some dedication. She’d be best with a single owner, or family without toddlers. She rides well in a car now, & learns very quickly. Nearly anything you’d want to teach a dog to do, she could likely learn. Please put Lady on your application!

  • Bonded Pair, must stay together.
  • Housebroken
  • Cuddly and Youthful!
  • Adoption fee: $200.

Say hello to Geisha and Origami!   We are both around 10 years young and follow each other everywhere.
We are happy, cuddly and love to play.

Our Foster parents have two friendly puggies that we play with and sometimes steal their toys when they aren’t looking!  We are house and crate trained and love going for walks.

We came from a home with kids and we all got along just fine. We love to always be with our Foster parents and greet them with toys or anything of theirs we can find to show we love them.

Origami needs ear washes every few days as his ears get itchy.  But that doesn’t seem to bother him at all.

If you are looking for sweet, loving and fun fur babies stop what you are doing and come find us!

  • Female, 9 years old
  • Housebroken
  • 18 lbs of PUGGLE!
  • Loves kids!
  • Adoption fee: $100

Abbie is a 9-year-old Puggle who is searching for the “one”. Her previous owner had to give her up because she was moving, and since then she has been looking for someone to love her. She gets along well with large or small dogs, and she doesn’t mind cats. She is currently a little chubby, but its what’s on the inside that counts! She is very active outside and loves a good game of fetch. However, she also enjoys being lazy inside and cuddling on the couch. Since living with us she has had zero accidents in the house, and uses the dog door to go in and out as needed. She can get a little possessive over bones, but takes commands very well. She really is an absolute joy to have around!

  • ADOPTED
  • Female, 9 years young
  • Housebroken
  • Yep…she even has her own tumblr — http://fosterpuglife.tumblr.com/
  • Has lots of anxiety when left alone, so looking for a family that is home alot.
  • Adoption fee: $100

Elsey is a rambunctious puggle! Even though she is 9 year old, she does not show her age. She has lots of energy and enjoys morning and evening walks. She also likes chewing on a bone, which will keep her quiet when new people come around or in the mornings. She generally gets along with other dogs (although she may snap at when first meeting another dog). She loves to snuggle and cuddle, on the couch or in bed if allowed. She has previously been let out every 2 hours, so she might need a little work with being alone for longer times and not peeing, although crates seem to work well. She communicates frequently through whines and barks, letting you know when it’s time to eat or time to go out. She enjoys being pet and will be a great addition for anyone looking for an active puggle and puggle cuddles!

  • Female,10 years old
  • BUG – Boston Terrier / Pug mix
  • 24 lbs
  • Housebroken
  • Current on vaccinations, on hwp, and has had recent dental
  • Adoption fee: $100

Puddgy is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix with a beautiful brindle coat.  She is very well behaved and gets along great with our cranky pug…which is saying a lot!  Her previous owner says she does not get along with other female dogs, though we have no first hand experience with that.  Puddgy’s history with cats and children is unknown.  She has met children and seems OK with them but never has lived with any.  She knows some commands and will wait to be invited to sit with you on the couch.  She does like to sleep on the bed with you, staying at the foot on her own pillow for much of the night but will come up to cuddle in the morning. Speaking of the bed – she has long, Boston Terrier legs and can jump up on the bed with no problem.  She has been crated for short periods of time at our home and seems to tolerate it.  Puddgy likes affection but is a little independent.  She loves to sleep on the floor in the sun, go on long walks in the woods, look for bunnies and ride in cars.  Puddgy came into foster care when her owner became homeless. After all the recent uncertainties in her life, she deserves a stable loving home for her senior years.

  • Female, 8 years old
  • 14 lbs
  • Housebroken
  • Good with dogs, cats, and kids
  • Special Needs: Daily eye moisture drops and daily Dasaquin for joints
  • Special Skill: THE ULTIMATE CUDDLE PUG
  • Adoption fee: $100
Meet Pi. She is around 8yrs old and a whopping 14lbs! She has a BIG personality and a BIG need for her humans for such a petite little pumpkin. She is perfectly happy as long as she can see you but if you leave her sight and she knows you are still within earshot, she will serenade you until you come back. If allowed, she will just follow you everywhere. She loves to be held like a baby and have her tummy rubbed. I call her my “Gumby foster pug” because she is so flexible and easy going. Pi is potty trained and gets along great with cats, kids, and other dogs. She would do great as your only Pug if you are home a lot. If you are not, then she would need a companion dog to keep her company. Pi cannot see out of her left eye due to a cataract but she sees just fine out of the other. Her hearing is not the greatest but she is not deaf. Pi is current on her shots, still has plenty of teeth after her recent dental cleaning, and the doc says her lungs and heart sound good. X-rays showed that Pi has some arthritis in her back and has Intervertebral Disc Disease. Both are very common in smaller breeds such as Pugs. This causes Pi to drag her feet when she walks and limits her ability to use stairs. She can handle a couple of stairs as long as they are not too tall. Fortunately, she is light enough to just scoop up and carry her if you have stairs. She is not in any pain and it doesn’t stop her from cruising the yard and being on your heels. She started showing signs about 6 months ago and has not gotten worse so the doc says that is a positive. It is a degenerative disease but with daily joint chewy, daily limited exercise, good food, keeping her trim, lots of love, and a couple trips to the vet a year, she will have plenty of years for you to spoil her. Pi’s ideal family would have lots of carpet or lots of area rugs to cruise around on and must also welcome her sleeping buddy “Groucho the Pug”(pictured with her). If you are looking for a couch potato companion that will remind you every minute of everyday that she loves you more than anything else in the world, then Pi is the perfect girl for you.

Marla

  • Pug Mix – Possibly Puggle
  • Adoption fee: $350
Miss Marla is a very good girl. She is completely house trained. probably around 2 years old.  She is very active but will settle down when asked to. Would probably do well with older children. She is just a little too rambunctious for little ones. The pug in her definitely contributes to her good temperament.

Ginger

April 28, 2014 @ 12:39 am posted by AbbyS
  • Female, 12 years old
  • Pug mix
  • Special Needs: Deaf, cataracts in both eyes, only 3 teeth left.
  • Special Skill: Happy to share the covers!
  • Adoption fee: $100

Ginger is a Pug mix (possibly Chihuahua) and just as sweet as pie. Her two favorite things to do is going for a walk and sitting in your lap. Ginger was found as a stray in Las Vegas so we don’t know anything about her past except that she probably was part of a family because of her sweet nature and lack of fear of people. We don’t know her birth year but the vet’s thinking around 12yrs old. She is deaf, has cataracts in both eyes, and just had all her teeth pulled except for three. She can see just fine and will come to you with hand signals but she will probably be right next to you anyway unless she is taking a nap. She does great on a leash and off-leash at the dog park. Her tail goes up and she is ready to roll. She gets along great with her foster brothers and sisters and thinks the cat is just another friend to lie next to. She would do great with another furbaby or the center of your attention. She gets cold easy so she likes to burrow in the covers when she sleeps. She is potty trained but will need your help to teach her where you want her to go and when by going outside with her. Even though she is a senior, she has no problem holding her bladder all night. She is not showing any signs of arthritis but it would still be a good idea to giver her glucosamine chondroitin everyday. She will also need moisture drops in her eyes at least once per day but twice would be better. It takes a special person to adopt a senior furbaby because your time with them is going to be much shorter than most would like. Are you that special person? Ginger is a special little girl and she is waiting for her special new family.

  • Special skill: Being your best friend
  • Adoption fee: $300

Trina is a 14 lb, black female puggle. She is ready to move on on to her forever home after coming to CPR pregnant.  She is very active and absolutely adores humans…she is a good watch dog and she gets her exercise by running along the fence barking at 4 legged neighbors, but she is also well trained to stop any kind of unwanted behavior by simply saying “no”.  Trina is completely housebroken and is quite used to sitting on the furniture – she did have some separation issues at her foster house while she was nursing and protecting her pups.  She enjoys long walks, sunshine, and simply adoring her companions.  She has no medical issues and will enjoy a long life with her forever family.

Noodle

@ 3:35 pm posted by AbbyS
  • Female, 6 years old
  • 25 lbs
  • Housebroken, ok with a doggy door
  • Special Needs:  Blind -both eyes have been removed.
  • Adapts quickly to new surroundings.
  • Special skill: Can warm both the couch and the heart.
  • Adoption fee: $300

Noodle is as sweet as they come. She is your typical velcro pug but will sit quietly and wait for your return from wherever you went. She feels most comfortable when she can be touching you even if it is just your foot. She came to CPR intact, with severely infected eyes and ears, and in desperate need of a dental. CPR and Animal Health Care stepped up for this sweetie pie and she is no longer suffering in silence. Her eyes needed to be removed and she had 17 teeth pulled. She has been a real trooper through it all and is now happy, healthy, and free of pain. She could stand to lose a couple of pounds to get her into tip-top shape. Her blindness does not slow her down at all. She is still young and needs to have daily exercise. She does great on a leash as long as you keep her close and be her eyes for her. She also does great off-leash as long as there aren’t lots of obstacles around her. Wide open parks are best for her. She is adventurous and will venture out until she feels unsure and then she will stop and listen for you. Her capabilities are endless now that she is free of pain. She will need a family that will be cautious with her such as using gates at stairways, having rugs to help her navigate, not moving things around, and a blind-friendly yard for her to enjoy. Noodle is great with cats, dogs, and everyone she meets. Since Noodle relys on her hearing so much, a quieter home environment would be best for her so no small kiddos please. She likes to love on her foster brothers and sisters so having a companion would be nice but not critical. She also likes to snuggle with her foster cat so a feline companion would work as well. It shouldn’t take Noodle much more than a week to adjust to her new home with some help from her new family. She reacts to her name being called or clapping your hands. We hung a wind chime next to the doggie door so she could find her way back when we aren’t home but it doesn’t seem like she even needs that. She does come with a snore warning but she doesn’t rattle the windows. She loves to snuggle up next to you on the couch or at bedtime. Her transition may include a couple of potty accidents but she is housebroken. She will just need you to set her potty schedule, show her how to get outside, and be patient with her while she learns. She has only been with me for a few weeks and she has been recovering from surgeries the whole time so I am positive that this sweet bundle of pugness has many more wonderful qualities that I have not experienced yet. Put Noodle on your application today!! She will shower you and your family with unconditional love and amaze you everyday with what she can overcome.

  • Special skill: Heart Melting
  • Adoption fee: $300

Hi, the pretty little thing you see is Gidget.  I come from a family where one of the members became really ill and it was decided I come to CPR so I can get the love and attention I deserve. I am thankful to CPR for arranging a ride for me to Colorado and getting my teeth cleaned.  I also am thankful for my loving foster family.  I get along great with kids and other dogs.  I am crate-trained and house-trained.  I love to sit on your lap and sleep with you at night.  A harness is best for me to take walks with you as my neck is the same size as my head.  I do well on walks; I’m excited to see and smell new surroundings.  Thanks for taking the time to look and be sure to write Gidget on your adoption application!  I’m a sweet girl who will melt your heart.
