  • Male, 6 years old
  • Pug Mix – 14lbs
  • Housebroken!
  • Escape artist – but not the kind you’ll find in Vegas!
  • Adoption fee: $300
Wally is a dog of mystery! He grew up in New Mexico and recently moved to Colorado where he’s been enjoying the fresh mountain air. Although he hasn’t been living with us long, he’s been a complete gentlemen his entire stay. As of now he’s had zero accidents in the house, rarely barks, gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, and he’s cool, calm and collected during road trips. Due to his smaller size, cats seem to make him a little nervous, so he tends to ignore them. Wally’s one and only flaw is that he has a history of escaping. This means that an apartment dweller or someone with a secure fence would likely be the best fit. He enjoys being inside lounging on the couch or outside in the sun, and he loves to share his toys and food! Overall he’s quite a catch, and it will be bittersweet to see him go to a great home.

  • Female, 9 years old
  • Housebroken
  • 18 lbs of PUGGLE!
  • Loves kids!
  • Adoption fee: $100

Abbie is a 9-year-old Puggle who is searching for the “one”. Her previous owner had to give her up because she was moving, and since then she has been looking for someone to love her. She gets along well with large or small dogs, and she doesn’t mind cats. She is currently a little chubby, but its what’s on the inside that counts! She is very active outside and loves a good game of fetch. However, she also enjoys being lazy inside and cuddling on the couch. Since living with us she has had zero accidents in the house, and uses the dog door to go in and out as needed. She can get a little possessive over bones, but takes commands very well. She really is an absolute joy to have around!

I had a happy life with my only owner until she got sick with Alzheimer’s.  Her family couldn’t take care of her and give me the care I needed too, so they asked Colorado Pug Rescue to find me a new family.  I was a little bewildered at first, but my foster family is making me feel right at home with yummy food, short walks, toys to play with and laps to sit on and my very own dog bed. Sometimes the cranky old pug that lives here too barks at me but I just give him space and ignore him.  I am friendly with other dogs (non-cranky ones) and children.  I met a cat at the vet clinic and didn’t bark or lunge at it but I’ve never lived with one.  I am very good natured, give lots of kisses and love to be right next to my foster mom and dad.  I really would prefer a home where my humans are with me most of the time.  I have been crate trained and like to sleep in it at night.  I went to obedience class a long time ago, so I’m a little rusty on my commands but I will sit if you give me a treat!  My foster family has discovered that I’m kind of deaf (they thought it was “selective” hearing at first) but other than a little arthritis in my back legs I’m pretty healthy for being 11 years old.  The arthritis doesn’t slow me down much and I take glucosamine every day for it.  I’m a pretty wonderful pug with just one problem…I mark in the house occasionally.  Even though I get along great with other dogs, sometimes I get in a marking competition with them (inside and out) so it might be better if I am an only dog.  If left unattended, I should stay in my crate where I feel safe or wear a bellyband so I can’t make any mistakes.

My foster mom thinks Bandit is a perfect name for me…she says I will steal your heart when you meet me!

  • Puggle
  • 14 lbs

  • Special skill: Being your best friend
  • Adoption fee: $300

Trina is a 14 lb, black female puggle. She is ready to move on on to her forever home after coming to CPR pregnant.  She is very active and absolutely adores humans…she is a good watch dog and she gets her exercise by running along the fence barking at 4 legged neighbors, but she is also well trained to stop any kind of unwanted behavior by simply saying “no”.  Trina is completely housebroken and is quite used to sitting on the furniture – she did have some separation issues at her foster house while she was nursing and protecting her pups.  She enjoys long walks, sunshine, and simply adoring her companions.  She has no medical issues and will enjoy a long life with her forever family.

  • Male, 12 years old
  • Good with dogs and cats
  • Special Needs: wobbly legs, occasional incontinence
  • Special skill: Sunbathing in the buff
  • Adoption fee: $100

Did you know silver is the new black? Well, Puggie does and he’s also working overtime to bring sexy back! Puggie is a sweet and playful old man. His little grey face makes him look like a wise old sage (or maybe a Capuchin monkey). He loves to snuggle under the blankets, and he is a tiny little fellow, so he doesn’t take up much room. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in character. He has a BIG personality (hence the bringing sexy back) and is guaranteed to make just about anyone smile. He is confident and demanding and prefers to be in your lap. He howls like a hound when he gets excited, and he is pretty good at getting his own way. He is often cold and shivers, so he likes to wear his sweater or coat (unless it’s nice outside, then he prefers to go au naturale). He loves to walk despite the fact that he has a slippy-knee that makes him walk funny. The vet says it doesn’t hurt him, and it definitely doesn’t slow him down. He reminds us of Elvis when he wears his collar up. He likes to snuggle with his foster-siblings (they are so warm), but he doesn’t let them push him around. He would probably snuggle with the kitties too if they were friendlier. He is mostly potty-trained and uses the doggie door, but he does have a marking habit (not the best way to bring sexy back), and maybe a touch of incontinence when he gets worked up (nobody’s perfect).

  • Likely best as an only dog and no kids
  • Adoption fee: $300
Paisley is a great seven year old little lady pug.  She likes to go on car rides and long walks and gets along with most other dogs (except for puppies).  She is housebroken, crate trained and has the sweetest disposition.  She loves cuddling up on the couch and would be perfect for a professional couple or an older couple, as she is always acting as someones shadow. Meal time is by far her favorite part of the day and she will sing (bark & howl) and do multiple turns to show you she is excited to eat.

Hi! I am Brody, a 4 year old Chug….That means I am part Chihuahua, and part Pug. I am a very smart boy that came from a very cold place, so I hope you like a dog that cuddles. I am crate trained, and really like it, especially when I hear loud sounds. I love car rides, and walks a whole bunch, and I can be full of energy too! I have only been in my foster home for a short while, but I am learning how to use a doggie door, and I am  learning what it is like to be around other dogs. I hope you will like me enough to put my name on the adoption form!

Midge

  • Female, 10 years old
  • Adoption Fee: $100

Hi – I’m Midge!  After a stint at the Adam Co Humane Society, I came to Co Pug Rescue for the chance to find a good home with my kinda people.  I am an older girl – but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a gentle game of tug o war with a soft toy 🙂  I LOVE to be with people, especially “my” person, and I don’t like being left alone – but I’m not destructive about it, just sad and I vocalized that sadness for a bit before settling down and waiting for your return. I am housebroken and will let you know when I want to go outside, but being older, sometimes I can’t help myself and I leave little puddles around the house – not all the time, just sometimes. I am ok with other dogs and kitties, but my foster mom’s cats Do Not Respect my space and I have to tell them to leave me alone! My foster mom trusts me and knows I won’t hurt them or even chase them for fun. They can even sleep next to me – just stay out of my face. Same for other little dogs – I get a bit jealous and won’t back down if they don’t back down, all I need is a good firm “No” and separate us if I forget my manners.  Give me a chance and I will love you for the rest of my life!

  • Male, 4  years old
  • Good with Goats!
  • Good with everyone
  • Specials Needs: Unsure of stairs.
  • Adoption fee: $300

This 4 year old big black male is a perfect gentleman. He loves toys and the company of his foster sisters and brothers. No issues with big dogs, small dogs, cats, goats or children. He does not know many commands but is anxious to learn and play. I am scared of stairs, but know how to use a doggy door and eat in my crate. Raul has not displayed any food aggression– what he wants is to snuggle with his human companions and play, and you can always find him waiting for an open lap.  He is playful and rarely barks!  He is great on the leash, in the car, with kids, other dogs and loves being active.  He will make a great addition to the family that adopts him.  Remember Raul when you fill out your adoption application.

  • Adoption fee: $100

Hoon is a very sweet 13 year old black male Pug.  He was surrendered by his family due to the fact that he was marking a child’s toys.  The child is now two, and was a recent addition to the family.  He had a beagle brother, and had lived his entire life with the family.  He was NOT fixed.  Since coming to the Greeley Pug Ranch he has NOT marked or had ANY accidents indoors.   When he arrived he had not been taking his arthritis meds.  This has been resumed, and he is moving up and down stairs and playing with 5 other dogs.  He does seem to like to be a protector of his mommy, but is also very sweet to males. He does great with kids.  He is reportedly good with cats.  Overall-very mellow and sweet, will make a terrific companion to someone with or without other dogs.    Hoon is a quintessential pug!

  • Female, 12 years old
  • Special Needs: special urinary tract diet, eye meds, cosequin
  • Adoption fee: $100
Somebody loves to sunbathe!  Meet Miss Clancy!  Clancy is a 12 year old sweetheart with a beautiful spirit.  She loves to cuddle with her human friends and is happy to curl up at your feet when you’re working from home.  Naps are one of her favorite past times, but she is also playful with her greyhound and pug brothers.  She gets along great with all types of dogs, kids, and big people, too.  Her most endearing quality is her little “Welcome Home” sing song bark/howl when you walk in the door each day.
Clancy is losing her sight in both eyes and has eye medicine that she requires daily.  However, she’s happy to stand still while you add the gel to her eyes and she gets around well for having limited vision.  Clancy is currently on a special Urinary SO diet which she will need to continue.  This will help her from getting bladder infections and tumors like she’s had in the past.  She also takes a glucosamine to help her with some of her old age in her back and back legs.  But, now that she has gotten proper veterinary care and some TLC, she is a happy, healthy girl with a lot of love to give a special family.

Hi, I’m Bones.  I came to Colorado Pug Rescue after my family decided it was best for me to be in a home that was less crowded.  I get along great with cats, dogs, and chickens.  I also love howling when you walk in the door to say hello!  I am crate trained and house trained.  I am thankful to CPR for providing a loving foster family.  I only like to eat when you put my bowl by your feet.  I’m a large pug who would make a great big in a family with a large heart.  Thanks for looking!
