Peanut Butter, a Colorado Pug Rescue foster puggie, urgently needs spinal surgery to correct a neck problem known as atlantoaxial instability. Peanut Butter was born with malformed vertebrae which cause two of her neck vertebrae to rub together whenever she moves her head. The risk to her is that if she were to fall the wrong way or too hard (which eventually would happen), her spine would be compressed by the vertebrae and she would die instantly.
Because of the danger, we have arranged for Peanut Butter to have this surgery very soon. She is otherwise healthy and less than two years old, so we want her to have a long safe future. The cost of the surgery will be approximately $8000. Please help us if you can. No amount is too small, and all donations are tax deductible. Please also share this post. Thank you! Peanut Butter’s foster mom will post updates on Facebook during Peanut Butter’s recovery.
