Peanut started out life as a normal happy healthy little puggy girl – then she got adopted by an abusive family.  I will not tell you what all was done to her, but I will say that thankfully a heavenly neighbor called CPR and Peanut came to live a better life.  She was given a wheelchair to keep her back legs from dragging on the ground behind her all the time.  She has gone through therapy that has taught her how to use all 4 legs at the same time, so sometimes her foster mommy calls her Frankenpug. Peanut walks really well in the morning and gradually becomes tired throughout the day and will need help standing or she will just drag herself.  Yes, she has built up some calluses on the top of her back paws, but those are good – she doesn’t bleed from her toenails anymore. Her medications include 1 tablet of Dasuquin daily to help with her joints as we think she’s between 8 & 10 years of age, and ½ pro-in tablet to help with urinary incontinence.   She is not capable of holding her weight up for the duration of moving her bowels and sometimes she ends up going in her sleep.  I know there are many angels out there that don’t mind picking up poo off the dog bed once in a while, and as long as you keep her on a regular diet, the potty will be formed and cleans up easily. She is spayed, had her dental work done, and she does her own therapy every time she moves around.  Peanut can see and hear very well and has no aggression towards anything.  She loves all the other puggies here and because of prior damage, her bark can barely be heard over a whisper………a quiet one through no fault of her own.  Peanut is a wonderful girl who loves to lick her human – we must taste good!  Please consider giving this little girl good memories for the rest of her life and make her part of a caring and patient family.
