Cosmo was born on Christmas Day nine years ago. He is a lovable guy whose favorite activities are sitting in laps and taking walks around the park. Cosmo does like to be the dominant dog, but he gets along with his foster sister pug and foster brother Havanese and shows no interest in his foster feline brothers. Since Cosmo enjoys the companionship of other dogs and doesn’t like to be alone, he would do best in a home with another dog that is not dominant.
Cosmo is crate trained and housetrained. Although he did some marking when he first arrived at his foster home, after the first week with his foster family, the marking stopped. Cosmo loves treats so is easily trainable. He does appear to have some joint stiffness (for which he takes Cosequin), so stairs can be a bit of a challenge; he would probably prefer a home with few or no stairs. Small children alarm Cosmo, but he would be fine in a home with teens.
Before Cosmo came to Colorado Pug Rescue, he was home alone a lot and very lonely. He is looking forward to a forever home where he will receive all the love and attention he deserves.
