Hi everyone, my name is Harmony.  I came into the rescue when my owners couldn’t afford surgery to remove bladder stones.  I had 3 large stones removed and I feel soooo much better!  I’m doing great post-op but have to eat a prescription food for the rest of my life to keep the stones from coming back…that means treats too.  But I like the food and my foster family saves some kibbles from my daily meals to give as treats.  Most of the time I’m like any other pug and sleep a lot, but mid afternoon I can get down right lively.  I like to play with toys and my foster family has found that a rawhide chew helps to get me through the fidgets.  My vet even went so far as to call me a D.Q., which I found out means drama queen!  I get along with other dogs but don’t know any cats.  I really enjoy my morning and evening walks and if the cows are nearby I like to bark at them.  They don’t seem to mind and sometimes they  come over to see what all the noise is about.  About barking … when left alone, I bark.  When it thunders, I bark. Sometimes I bark at birds.  I’m not an incessant barker, just making a few comments.  My foster family isn’t sure how long I bark when left alone – now that I’m healed from my surgery, they are going to try some experiments.  I have never been crate trained and insist on sleeping on the bed with you.  I also like a lap whenever possible.  As you can see from my photos, I’m super cute.  Hmm, I’m starting to understand that D.Q. title!
