Hello! My name is Sandy. My life started out very rough. I was a puppy mill breeder. The first three years of my life were spent in a cage. What little human interaction I experienced wasn’t positive. I was so fearful of humans, and I was left blind and with knee issues. Thankfully, Colorado Pug Rescue took me in and helped get me healthy. For the last three years, I have been living with my foster family, who adopted me. Once I got my confidence, it became clear I needed a home without other dogs. I want my owner all to myself!

I have learned so much about life as a pug. I will never trust strangers, but I am learning to trust my humans. With time and patience, I will trust and love new my owner. I love to go on walks, and I am great on leash. Since I am blind, I do rely on my owner to help let me know when a step or curb is coming up. If you let me know, I have no problems tackling the terrain. I get around the house perfectly and have no issues going up or down stairs. If you have a back yard, I love to explore and lie in the sun. I also love going for rides in the car, chewing bones, cuddling and getting a good leg and belly scratch! I am looking for a mellow home that doesn’t have other dogs. I just want someone who will love me for me. I promise I am worth it!
