SARGE

Hello! My name is Sarge! I’m an 11 ½ year old in need of a good loving home. I’m practically perfect in every way but for a few misfortunes. You see, my right eye has lost its sight, and my left eye can only see shadows, but I have adapted very well. Sometimes I startle easily if I am touched quickly, so I ask that you be gentle in your movements. I am able to jump up onto the couch to snuggle with you, which I crave. However, my depth perception can make me a little leery of getting back down again, and my agility is not what it used to be in my younger days. But for an old guy I run, play, and get around with the best of them!

When I first came into rescue, I was not housetrained. I am doing much better but still cannot resist marking sometimes. I get along very well with other dogs, but at times I need my space. I love to eat, though it is sometimes difficult because I am missing some back teeth. The most important thing you need to know is that I am very loving and loyal. Life has not always been good to me, but if you’ll give me the chance, I will be your best friend and companion for the rest of my life! Thank you for reading my bio. I hope to hear from you soon!
