Missy

Missy is approximately 14 years old. She was born in a puppy mill and survived there for seven years having litter after litter. When the puppy mill was done with Missy they threw chemical acid on her thinking it would kill her. She survived but her whole back and sides had third degree burns. A nice family came by and decided to take her and her buddy(Burt) home with them. They didn’t have a lot of money, but they had tons of love to give. Then the husband was in a car accident and he had a head injury, which made him very mean. So the mom and kids decided it wasn’t safe for Burt and Missy or for themselves. So they called CPR. The rescue found the money to get her better. Missy has had three surgeries and her foster mom has to scrape the edges of her injury to keep the healing going. Missy’s tail is always wagging. She’s a very happy dog despite the challenges life has thrown at her. Missy also has allergies, is going deaf, has bad arthritis, and gets urinary tract infections a lot so she is also on special food.
